I think of life as a good book. The further you get into it, the more it begins to make sense.

About Me
I have been on a journey as an educator for almost 20 years. Since I was a child, I have loved reading and writing, so it is apt that my educational journey culminated in my role as a Reading Specialist, Dyslexia Interventionist, and the development of Aleph2Read Tutoring. Aleph (pronounced Ah-lef) is from one of the first known alphabetic writing systems, Phoenician, and was the name of what would later become our letter A.
While I was earning my first teaching license as a teacher of 5-12 English Language Arts, I served as a reading tutor with the Minnesota Reading Corps. That experience as a reading tutor solidified my path. After completing my initial teaching license, I immediately started school again to earn my K-12 Reading license and my Master of Arts in Literacy Education. Later, I completed the Comprehensive Orton-Gillingham Training through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education. Most recently, I became certified as a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist by the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI), which required an extensive practicum experience using structured literacy.
